Crocus : Crocus vernus
Plant : Crocus is a popular garden plant providing welcome colour on sunny days, from late winter to early summer. They are attractive to bees, as a useful source of pollen for early season foragers. It belongs to the Iridaceae family. These pretty plants are normally grown in gardens, verges and in pots. It is a bulbus plant, with stems growing up to 30 cm tall.
Flower : It flowers between February and June. The flower has six petal-like sepals and three stamen.
