Common Ragwort – Senecio jacobaea
Plant : The Common Ragwort plant is toxic to livestock and humans. It is a native wildflower and grows readily in pastures, grassland and shrub land. Clusters of bright yellow flower heads grow at the tops of tall stems. These stems are up to 90 cm in height. It is a member of the Asteraceae family and attractive to many types of bees and hoverflies.
Flower : The composite flower heads are made up of tiny individual florets, which flower between June and October.
