Himalayan Cotoneaster – Cotoneaster simonsii
Plant : Himalayan Cotoneaster is an introduced species, although it is now widespread throughout the region. It is a large shrub which grows up to 4m tall. When in flower it can be covered with small white flowers, which are every attractive to many types of bees. It is member of the Rosaceae family.
Flower : The small white flowers are typical of the Rosaceae family, with their five separate petals and numerous stamen. The flowers are approximately 25 mm across and flower between May and July.
