Pollen Description : The Pollen is oval shape and 22um long. It has three furrow and pore type apertures, which run along the length of the body but do not extend to the poles. Looking directly at the pores the apertures resemble an eye shape and a differentiating feature of this pollen, against Sweet-Chestnut, is the small spines in the furrow of the aperture. The pollen load is red.
